Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1st September, 2022

We want everyone who visits the Rooost website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Test website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Roost website.

How are we doing?

We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we’re doing to make that happen.

There may be some text sections of the site that may fail the minimum contrast ratio outlined for Level AA. This is mainly when we have placed text over background images, making the exact placement and contrast ratio difficult to calculate. We are assessing the use of this method and may make alterations in the future regarding this design feature. See WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)

There may be some content available via PDF documents that are not structured so that they are fully accessible via a screen reader.
