Rooost – our transformational concept

Our goal is to be ‘ahead of the game’ with the provision of Business Accommodation and Relocation Services for our clients and their contractors. To achieve this, our objective is simple – to align with your strategic goals; increase your revenues; reduce your costs; improve your efficiencies!
Our ambition is, therefore, less about ‘selling you something’ – but more about focusing on the value we can deliver; working collaboratively; educating and informing with new ideas and perspectives; providing valuable insight to your industry or market.
The Rooost experience…
We are defined by business owners and key personnel who are experienced international contractors. We understand that a day is made up of three pillars – work, relax, sleep – and about eight hours of each makes a balanced, effective, enjoyable and productive day! If one isn’t working well, all are compromised and this will contribute to the efficacy of the contractor(s) and, therefore, the assignment(s). We counter this by ensuring your workforce has the right home-from-home experience to ‘rest at night’ and have the necessary resources to enjoy their downtime – and the outcome is that they maximise their assignment performance!
To achieve this, we partner with thousands of accommodation providers and property owners across the UK and Europe to provide an extensive choice of business accommodation and provide a real ‘home-from-home’ experience for C-suite, senior management teams, contractors and workforces. In addition to our core services, where we can also add value is…
- Candidate entry to market (ETM) management – Passport, Visa, Employment and Work Permit Applications; advice and support foreign nationals travelling to the UK to visit or work and/or UK nationals travelling to other territories to visit or for work
- Destination management – the ‘soft landing’. Air travel; transfers; car leasing; education; healthcare – as well as our core service – business accommodation.
- Assignment support – the resources and tools that support 66% of the time the contractor(s) are not on assignment
- Repatriation services – Closure of all accounts and smooth exit from the assignment territory
The Rooost transformational concept…
In the world of contracting, we identify four components in our transformational concept – namely:
- The client – the company whose team has identified the need for an individual or team with specific skills for a task or assignment for a time-frame. They have searched the market, sourced and deployed a contractor or team for that specific assignment in a geography that is alien to the contractor.
- The contractor – the individual or team with the specific set of skills required to fulfil an assignment for the client for a specific duration in a territory that is alien to them – and they will have KPIs to deliver against that contract!
- The accommodation provider – the individual or business that provides the accommodation for the contractor on assignment
- Rooost – the team that pulls all of this together and ensures the contractor(s) can perform at their best for the duration of their assignment and maximise the investment made by the client in the contractor(s)
In stories we have recently published, we have challenged how companies treat their contractors. We have asked if how contractors are deployed is aligning with the company’s strategic goals? For example, are they supported on managing stress; whilst they are working away from home, are they sleeping OK and the impact on their work if they are not; generally advising on improving their health and well-being.
“... We have even ensured that the accommodation that we provide for contractors contributes to the client’s objective of achieving ‘net zero strategy’ in its build quality; utilities and services provision; location in relation to the assignment…”
Without consideration of these and other topics, are companies maximising the potential of their contractors for their assignment? The simple answer is ‘no’. And the return on investment by ensuring that contractors are in a positive space when working away from home and not on assignment is not only great from a financial point of view, it is the appropriate way a company should treat a human being in modern business.

We are continuing to develop our service provision. In doing so, we are in the process of creating a digital tool for the four components in our transformational concept to be collaborative in. A digital space where the client, contractor(s), accommodation provider and Rooost can reside to ensure the investment in the contractor is maximised for the two-thirds of the hours they are not on assignment!
